Know the loaded vehicle
Use the RV or trailer manufacturer’s guidance and the tire maker’s applicable load-and-inflation information. Actual loading and distribution matter. Do not borrow a pressure setting from another vehicle simply because the tires look similar.
Inspect before travel day
Check condition, age, tread, valves, and the spare where fitted. Stored tires still age. Arrange an assessment early enough to discuss replacement options without a departure deadline driving the decision.
Identify the tire type
Send the full markings, including ST or LT where present, load range, and single/dual details. Include axle count and the RV or trailer model. Never assume all trailer tires are interchangeable.
